Masjid Qiblatain in Madinah is one of Islam's most historically significant mosques. It was here that, during a congregational prayer, Allah commanded the believers to change the direction of prayer from Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) to the Ka'bah in Makkah. The worshippers immediately turned in obedience while the prayer was still in progress.
Because of this extraordinary event, the mosque became known as Masjid Qiblatain, meaning "The Mosque of the Two Qiblahs." It stands as a timeless symbol of complete submission to Allah's command and the unwavering faith and obedience of the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all).
