Supreme Court lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has raised questions about Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding his suspension, a halt to the SIR, and the cancellation of elections in Bihar and Bengal. He also stated that an investigation should be conducted into whose orders Gyanesh Kumar acted on, and an FIR should be registered.
This statement came after The Indian Express's investigative report dated September 23. According to the report, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had recorded written objections at least 14 times over the past 10 months regarding the commission's decisions and actions.
