PM once said that each time the rupee falls, the dignity of the PM also falls. Let's recall how the rupee was ₹58 per dollar in May 2014; today it is at an all-time low at ₹84.73 per dollar in Nov 2024. While the RBI has spent close to $48 billion in the last few weeks to control the rupee, it has failed to do so.
