Jammu-based journalist Arfaz Daing’s home was unjustifiably demolished by the Jammu Development Authority yesterday in a selective action, despite many similar structures standing in the same area.

In a powerful gesture of humanity and Hindu–Muslim brotherhood, a Hindu family in Jammu today donated 5 marlas of land to help him rebuild his home. Says, If they break his 10-marla plot, we will give him 20. This is the faith that teaches us to stand with the victim, to stand against injustice, and to stand firmly for righteousness.

Let brotherhood prevail. Let humanity win.
