புகார்....!

Today morning, around 6:00 AM, I went for a walk with another woman Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu near the Embassy area. A person wearing a helmet approached us and snatched my chain, tearing my clothes in the process. He fled on a vehicle at a slow speed. I raised an alarm, but no one came to help me.

After that, I proceeded to the government guest house. On the way, I encountered police personnel, so I informed them about the incident and asked them to apprehend the culprit. However, they simply asked me to file a complaint and didn't even alert other police stations. I then went to the Chanakyapuri police station and filed a complaint. I have also emailed the Home Minister and the Speaker to take action regarding this incident. I hope they take action.

What's shocking is that I walked through a highly secured area with no security presence. The 'Double Engine Sarkar' talks about women's safety, but where is it? It has failed to provide safety for women. The police response was lethargic.
