Please do watch. An excellent speech by a Pillar of Dravidian ideology @dmk_raja
Tamil literatures (2000 years old) often emphasize the importance of education for both women and men.
So why did our grandparents and great-grandparents not go to school?
Why were they confined to family-based occupations and left behind socially?
Who held us back?
Which ideology was responsible?
And which ideology is now helping us to progress?
Dravidian movement taught us:
Rationalism over blind faith.
Self Respect over caste hierarchy.
Social Justice and Reservation to reclaim our right to education and government.
Women's Liberation as a core principle, not just a literary theme.
